The Çatalköy-Esentepe Municipality has added two new vehicles to its fleet to enhance its initial response capabilities regarding fires and floods.
Plans are in place to station one of the vehicles—purchased using the municipality’s own resources—in Çatalköy and the other in Esentepe. This initiative aims to enable teams to respond more rapidly to potential fires, floods, and similar emergencies.
It was stated that the vehicles, which will be kept ready at these two locations, will serve not only their immediate areas but also all settlements within the municipal boundaries whenever the need arises.
These new vehicles are intended to accelerate the initial response, particularly during the early stages of fires and in cases of flooding caused by heavy rainfall.
Kırok: “The First Few Minutes Are Crucial; We Are Strengthening Our Response Capability”
Çatalköy-Esentepe Mayor Ceyhun Kırok highlighted the critical importance of the first few minutes during disasters such as fires and floods, noting that the municipality is continuing to strengthen its response capacity.
Kırok stated, “We recognize the vital importance of rapid response to incidents like fires and floods in our region. For this reason, we have acquired two new initial response vehicles using the municipality’s own resources. One vehicle will be stationed in Çatalköy and the other in Esentepe, but they will be available to serve any part of our region whenever needed. Our goal is to ensure our teams can mobilize more quickly in the event of a fire or flood. The safety of our citizens’ lives and property is our top priority. We will continue to strengthen our capabilities in this regard.”
