Message of Cooperation for Environment and Wildlife from Çatalköy-Esentepe Municipality and the TRNC Hunting Federation

Çatalköy-Esentepe Mayor Ceyhun Kırok received the President of the TRNC Hunting Federation, Tahir Saygıner, and accompanying board members at the municipality.

During the meeting, which took place in a friendly atmosphere, joint projects that could be carried out between the municipalities and relevant institutions were discussed, primarily focusing on wildlife protection, environmental sustainability, the problem of stray dogs, and rodent control. The parties agreed that strengthening inter-institutional coordination is necessary to overcome environmental problems with lasting solutions.

Mayor Ceyhun Kırok expressed his satisfaction with the visit, stating that the municipality attaches great importance to the protection of nature and the improvement of environmental health. He noted that the protection of wildlife is not only the responsibility of one institution but a shared responsibility of all stakeholders, and that they will continue to increase cooperation with civil society organizations and relevant institutions in this regard.

Highlighting the importance of scientific, planned, and coordinated efforts in combating stray dogs and rodents, Kırok emphasized that municipalities acting with common sense and cooperation in solving environmental problems would greatly contribute to both public health and natural life.
