We will disperse the dark clouds over the country

Republican Turkish Party (CTP) Chairman Tufan Erhürman, speaking at the solidarity night of Çatalköy and Esentepe CTP January Organizations, emphasized their commitment to dispersing the metaphorical dark clouds looming over the country.

The Republican Turkish Party (CTP) Chairman Tufan Erhürman addressed the solidarity night of Çatalköy and Esentepe CTP January Organizations, emphasizing their commitment to dispelling the metaphorical dark clouds looming over the country.

Erhürman highlighted CTP’s success in local governments, showcasing the achievements of CTP-led municipalities. During the event, CTP Kyrenia District Chairman Ongun Talat emphasized that Çatalköy-Esentepe Mayor Ceyhun Kırok has been a boon for the region. The event was well-attended, with General Chairman Tufan Erhürman, CTP General Secretary Asım Akansoy, numerous Central Executive Committee members, MPs, and party members present.

Erhürman: CTP’s success in local governments will extend to central government CTP General Chairman Tufan Erhürman highlighted the atmosphere of despair permeating the country. “Some are attempting to spread gloom and hopelessness,” he remarked. “They claim, ‘We’re powerless—we can’t even construct schools. Let children make do with container classrooms.'” Countering this narrative, Erhürman emphasized CTP’s achievements in local governance: “We have leaders who invest tenfold, even a hundredfold beyond mandated budgets. They build schools from the ground up, demonstrating genuine concern for our children’s future. This fills us with pride.” Erhürman affirmed that CTP would replicate its local success at the national level. “We must dispel the dark clouds looming over our nation,” he declared, expressing confidence that CTP would bring smiles to people’s faces in municipalities, central government, and the presidency. Tufan Erhürman concluded with a message of hope: “Our youth may be eyeing paths of emigration now, but we’ll change that. Our people will find reasons to smile again—this current situation won’t persist.”

Talat: Ceyhun Kırok became the region’s fortune CTP Kyrenia District Chairman Ongun Talat opened his speech by thanking the two branch administrations. “I’m grateful to both our branch administrations for organizing such a lovely evening. It’s heartening to see so many people gathered here,” he said. Talat highlighted that CTP General Chairman Tufan Erhürman had recently returned from New York, underscoring the significance of these contacts. Reflecting on the challenges faced during the merger of Çatalköy and Esentepe municipalities, Talat remarked, “We were deeply concerned about serving these two distinct settlement areas. However, Ceyhun Kırok proved to be the region’s blessing,” drawing attention to Kırok’s accomplishments. “Despite socio-economic disparities, he united these regions through his services and instilled a vision. We’ll continue the success we’ve demonstrated in local governments,” he added. Talat commended Kırok’s resourcefulness in opening a school and asserted that CTP should now extend this vision to the central government. “All CTP members must now prepare for leadership. We will assume power and transform this country,” he declared. Referring to Erhürman’s New York contacts, Talat suggested that these engagements also illustrated how to address the void left by Ersin Tatar.
