Sports and Recreation Project for Esentepe

A “Framework Protocol for Cooperation in Sports and Recreation Area Development” was signed between Çatalköy–Esentepe Municipality, Cassina Investment Ltd., and Esentepe Kurtuluş Culture and Sports Club. Under the signed protocol, the goal is to develop sports, recreation, and social facilities on land owned by the club in the Esentepe region. The project also aims to contribute to sports tourism in the area.
The project includes plans for a synthetic turf football field, gym equipment, walking trails, social areas, and a limited number of accommodation units. It is also envisioned that sports camps, football events, and youth activities will be organized. It was stated that the activities will be carried out on the club’s land, and the land use conditions and operating model will be determined later in a detailed contract. It was noted that the coordination and development process of the project will be carried out by Evergreen Developments Group.
The protocol was signed by Çatalköy–Esentepe Mayor Ceyhun Kırok, Cassina Investment Ltd. Director Eser Sonat, and Esentepe Kurtuluş Culture and Sports Club President İbrahim Beyazbayram. Kırok: “This Was a Dream”
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mayor Ceyhun Kırok stated that the project was the realization of a long-held dream and thanked Eser Sonat and İbrahim Beyazbayram for their contributions.
Highlighting the importance of young people dreaming through sports, Kırok said it was important for young people to think, “Could I be like them one day?” when they see athletes playing abroad.
Emphasizing that Esentepe holds an important place not only with its football but also with the value it gives to sports and the public’s perspective on sports, Kırok said they were pleased with the club’s current position, the struggle it shows on the field, the technical team, and the work carried out by the management. Stating that football contains different emotions along with its excitement and dynamism, Kırok noted that the value the club gives to sports and the work it puts forth are of great importance. At the end of his speech, Kırok stated that thanks to the project, it would be possible for many major clubs’ youth teams from abroad to come to the country, and that these visits would open an important door that would allow local athletes to be observed on-site and new players to be discovered.
