A night filled with art unfolded in Çatalköy. The play “Visitors from Mercury,” staged at the Erol Avgören Cultural Center in collaboration with Çatalköy-Esentepe Municipality and the Cyprus Turkish State Theatres, received rave reviews from the audience. Performed by the Fourth Wall Culture and Thought Association team, the play humorously recounts the amusing adventure of visitors from Mercury who, while en route to Venus, mistakenly land on Earth, the island of Cyprus. With its fluid plot and strong acting performances, the play provided the packed audience with moments of laughter. The event was attended by President Tufan Erhürman and his wife Nilden Erhürman, Mayor Ceyhun Kırok, Mesarya Mayor Ahmet Latif, and members of the municipal council. The large turnout saw art lovers watching the play with great interest. At the end of the performance, President Tufan Erhürman and Mayor Ceyhun Kırok took to the stage to thank the actors and presented them with flowers and plaques for their successful performance. The audience in the hall showed their support for the actors with prolonged applause. In his speech, Mayor Ceyhun Kırok stated that the festival had completed its sixth performance, emphasizing that each play staged was invaluable. Kırok thanked all the theater groups that contributed and the audience for their great interest in the events, expressing his belief that cultural and artistic events would continue to increase.
