On November 24, 1928, when Atatürk received the title of “Head Teacher,” this date began to be celebrated as Teachers’ Day. Atatürk frequently emphasized the importance of education in society’s development and saw teachers as the architects of the future. Happy Teachers’ Day to all my colleagues who practice this sacred profession and to everyone who proudly says they are a teacher.
