The Beşparmaklar Theatre Festival, organized in collaboration with the Çatalköy-Esentepe Municipality and the Turkish Cypriot State Theatres, brought art lovers together in the magical world of theatre for a month. The final act of the festival closed tonight with the play “İntiharın Genel Revası” staged by the Çatalköy-Esentepe Municipality Theatre Team.
The play, directed by Pınar İnandım, received full marks from the audience and was met with applause. The actors’ performance on stage received full marks from the audience. The unifying and healing power of art was felt in the hall once again.
Çatalköy-Esentepe Mayor Ceyhun Kırok, who took the stage after the screening, congratulated the actors wholeheartedly and said, “The performances on this stage throughout the festival were not just plays, but reflections of labor, devotion and art coming from the heart.” Kırok stated that a total of 14 plays were staged during the festival, which started on March 26 and ended tonight, and thanked everyone who contributed to this process. He then thanked the artists for their performance and presented them with flowers and plaques.
