The Beşparmaklar Theatre Festival, organized in collaboration between Çatalköy-Esentepe Municipality and the Cyprus Turkish State Theatres, will bring together art lovers between March 27 and April 21. The festival will begin with an opening ceremony on Friday evening, March 27, at the newly renovated Esentepe Cultural Palace. Speaking at a press conference held before the festival, Mayor Ceyhun Kırok emphasized the importance the municipality places on cultural and artistic investments, recalling that they had promised at the same meeting last year to restore the Esentepe Cultural Palace, and expressed his pride in fulfilling that promise today. Stating that the region should be known not only for tourism but also for culture and art, Kırok said they will continue to support art and artists. The festival program includes 10 adult plays and 2 children’s plays. Tickets can be obtained from the Çatalköy-Esentepe Municipality Social Affairs Unit or at the door on performance days.
