An Azerbaijani corner was created at the "Alagadi" festival
Azerbaijani diaspora activists living in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have worthily represented our country at the “Alagadi” festival.
AZERTAC reports that the festival was organized by the Mayor of Çatalköy-Esentepe municipality, Ceyhun Kırok.
The event was opened by the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Ersin Tatar, Mayor of Çatalköy-Esentepe municipality Ceyhun Kırok, TRNC Minister of Tourism Fikri Ataoğlu, and diaspora activist Fuad Safaraliyev.
Fuad Safaraliyev, a diaspora activist and businessman who created the Azerbaijani corner in the festival area, said that Azerbaijan is worthily represented at the event, which was attended by more than five thousand people.
“This event is organized every year. As diaspora activists, this is the first time we are participating in the festival. Representatives from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and Iran are representing their countries’ cultures at the festival. We also considered it our duty to showcase Azerbaijan’s national cuisine, history, clothing, in short, its rich cultural heritage,” F. Safaraliyev emphasized.
According to him, participants showed great interest in the Azerbaijani corner. The President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ersin Tatar, also approached the Azerbaijani corner and took a commemorative photo.
F. Safaraliyev also notes that diaspora activists living in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are active in all areas.
They went to Ankara with a delegation of 50 people to participate in the extraordinary presidential elections held in the Republic of Azerbaijan on February 7, 2024, to demonstrate their loyalty and support to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev.
