The Beşparmaklar Theater Festival, organized in cooperation with the Çatalköy-Esentepe Municipality and the Turkish Cypriot State Theaters, hosted an impressive performance this evening. The valuable team of our sister municipality, Mersin Mezitli Municipality, Mezitli Municipality City Theater, took the stage with the play called “AKIF”.

This emotional play, which presents sections from the life of our national poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy, gave the audience unforgettable moments. With the powerful performances of the actors, “AKIF” received full marks from the hall and was greatly appreciated.

Çatalköy-Esentepe Mayor Ceyhun Kırok, who came on stage at the end of the show, congratulated the Mezitli Municipality City Theater team of our sister municipality, Mezitli Municipality, and said, “It made us both proud and emotional to see our historical values ​​on stage in such an impressive way.” Mayor Kırok also emphasized the importance of the festival in strengthening cultural ties. Kırok congratulated the guest team for their successful performance and presented them with flowers and a plaque.
