Following the cemetery visit, a memorial match was held between Esentepe and Karaoğlanoğlu to keep Erdal Barut’s memory alive and to strengthen unity and solidarity. Esentepe won the highly contested match with a score of 2-1.
Çatalköy-Esentepe Mayor Ceyhun Kırok stated that the valuable services and legacy Erdal Barut left to the region and its people will always be remembered.
