The Beşparmaklar Theatre Festival concluded with a spectacular finale.
Another evening filled with art unfolded in Çatalköy. The play “The Caucasian Chalk Circle,” staged at the Erol Avgören Cultural Center in collaboration between the Çatalköy-Esentepe Municipality and the Cyprus Turkish State Theatres, received rave reviews from the audience. Performed by the Cyprus Turkish State Theatres team, the play emphasized how justice is served in dark times and that motherhood gains meaning not only through childbirth but also through dedication, commitment, and raising children despite all difficulties.
The play also humorously and entertainingly conveyed the idea that hope and joy can exist in any situation. With its fluid plot and powerful acting performances, the work provided the audience with emotionally charged moments. The event, which saw a large turnout, was followed with great interest by art lovers. At the end of the performance, Çatalköy-Esentepe Mayor Ceyhun Kırok and Cyprus Turkish State Theatres Director Nazım Ced took to the stage to congratulate the actors and presented them with flowers and a plaque for their successful performance. The audience applauded the actors for a long time. Mayor Kırok stated that a total of 12 plays were staged within the scope of the festival, which started on March 26th and ended last night, emphasizing that each play held a unique value. Kırok thanked all the theater groups that contributed, the municipal employees who worked hard, and the audience who showed great interest in the events, adding that cultural and artistic events will continue to increase.
