In Çatalköy, the unifying power of art was once again reflected on the stage.
A meaningful theatrical performance, a collaboration between Çatalköy-Esentepe Municipality and the Cyprus Turkish State Theatres, met with the audience at the Erol Avgören Cultural Center. The play, titled Lysistrati, was staged by the Sahne 19 team.
The play, which powerfully conveyed the idea that while the names of wars may change throughout human history, the yearning for peace remains unchanged, received high praise from the audience. The art lovers who filled the hall followed the play’s impressive scenes with great interest, both enjoying themselves and having the opportunity to reflect throughout the performance.
At the end of the evening, Çatalköy-Esentepe Mayor Ceyhun Kırok, in his speech, highlighted the value the play added to the festival, thanked the actors, and presented flowers and plaques to the artists who garnered appreciation for their successful performances.
The evening, which saw a large turnout, once again demonstrated the growing strength of cultural and artistic events in the region, providing the audience with an unforgettable evening of art.
