Second-degree unemployment burn
Two evenings filled with art took place in Çatalköy and Esentepe. The play “Second Degree Unemployment Burn,” staged in collaboration between the Çatalköy Esentepe Municipality and the Cyprus Turkish State Theatres, received great interest from art lovers. The play, a production of the Ankara Art Theatre, was first performed at the Çatalköy Erol Avgören Cultural Center and played to a sold-out audience. At the end of the performance, Çatalköy Esentepe Municipality Deputy Mayor Başak Tümkan and Cyprus Turkish State Theatres Director Nazım Ced thanked the actor for his successful performance and presented him with flowers. The second performance of the play took place last night at the Esentepe Cultural Palace. The work, which addresses the growing social problem of qualified unemployment, provided thought-provoking moments for the audience. The stage performance of the veteran Cypriot actor Berkay Tulumbacı left a lasting impression on the evening, and his impressive storytelling and powerful acting received high praise from the audience. At the end of the performance, Serda Kim, a member of the Çatalköy Esentepe Municipality Council, came onto the stage and thanked Tulumbacı, presenting him with flowers and a plaque. The event, which saw a large turnout, once again highlighted the importance of cultural and artistic activities in the region.
