Çatalköy-Esentepe Mayor Ceyhun Kırok announced an important step to secure the social security of municipal employees.

Kırok announced that the Provident Fund premium debt, totaling approximately 21 million Turkish Lira from the period 2006-2015, prior to Law No. 15/2022 “On the Merger of Municipalities” (Special), has been fully paid.

Thanks to this payment, the municipality has been relieved of the interest burden of approximately 740,000 Turkish Lira each month. It was also stated that the social security rights of municipal employees are secured, preventing them from experiencing hardship during retirement in the future.

Mayor Kırok emphasized that this step also paves the way for employees to benefit from the benefits offered by the Provident Fund during difficult times. He said, “In line with the importance we place on labor, workers, and the social understanding of municipal governance, we will continue to stand by all our dedicated staff. May it be a blessing for all our workers.”
