“Half Souls Epic” was appreciated by the audience at the Beşparmaklar Theatre Festival.
The Beşparmaklar Theatre Festival, organized by the Çatalköy-Esentepe Municipality in collaboration with the Turkish Cypriot State Theatre, continues to provide unforgettable moments for theatre lovers. The play “Half Life Epic” by the Girne Theatre Su team, staged this evening as part of the festival, received full marks from the audience.
The play, written and directed by Burçhan Göze, brought to the stage the historical events, personal memories and turning points that have left their mark on the island throughout the years. The play made the audience think and at times moved them.
Making a short speech after the play, Çatalköy-Esentepe Mayor Ceyhun Kırok stated that the pain and social losses experienced throughout history were successfully reflected on the stage and said, “We all found a piece of our own past in this play. In wars, societies always lose, so we should always know the value of peace.” Mayor Kırok congratulated the actors one by one for their successful performances and presented them with flowers and plaques.
